Air Force
U.S. Air Force combat uniforms have continuously evolved since the Air Force became an independent service in 1947. Due to its lack of flame resistance, the Airman Battle Uniform (ABU) is no longer considered an appropriate uniform for combat duty. On May 14, 2018, The U.S. Air Force announced that all airmen will transition to the Army Combat Uniform in Operation Camouflage Pattern (OCP) by April 1, 2021.
The OCP Airmen wear has distinctive Air Force features. The name tape and Air Force lettering is a spice-brown color, and T-shirts and belts are tan. Most rank is in spice-brown thread.
